Opportunity to participate in the Fourteenth South Asia Economic Summit (SAES XIV)

 

The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), Bangladesh invites university students (bachelor’s final year, fresh graduates, and master’s) to participate in the Fourteenth South Asia Economic Summit (SAES XIV).  

CPD is organising the Fourteenth South Asia Economic Summit (SAES XIV): Reframing South Asian Regional Cooperation in the New Context – National and Global Dimensions.

Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), Sri Lanka; Research and Information Centre for Developing Countries (RIS), India; South Asia Watch on Trade, Economics and Environment (SAWTEE), Nepal; and Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI), Pakistan are the co-organisers of SAES XIV.

The event will take place on 4-5 November 2023.

ABOUT SAES

SAES aspires to identify modalities of deepening cooperation among South Asian countries. It is a unique policy forum that brings together academics and policy activists, policymakers and diplomats, business and civil society leaders, international development partners and other personalities from the region who are keen to advance this cause. It seeks to bring together, in Davos style, involved key stakeholders from the region and beyond to engage in debate and dialogue to generate innovative ideas and actionable agendas to foster and promote a South Asian identity and cooperation in different areas.

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

SAES XIV will take place on 4-5 November 2023 from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.

The sessions will be conducted in English.

The major highlights are as follows:

CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION

University students (bachelor’s final year, fresh graduates, and master’s) in relevant fields, who aspire to acquire practical knowledge about and engage in discussions on regional cooperation and development issues are encouraged to join the event. A total of 20 students will be able to participate.

Participation in the event is free of cost. Lunch and refreshments will be provided by the organisers. The 20 selected participants will receive daily conveyance allowance, subject to their successful participation in the event.
